About Us Busy Little Monsters - Role Play Village
Busy Little Monsters Role Play Village is a perfectly sized tiny town including a salon, café, supermarket, vets, construction site, police station, laundry and village green complete with ice cream stand and soft play features.
This bright and beautiful role play village has been lovingly designed by a former primary school teacher to encourage the imaginations of inquisitive and curious children as they explore, discover and play. The aim is to offer a welcoming, educational and sensory-stimulating environment which provides the opportunity for all children to engage in imaginative and creative play time.
The village is purpose-built for children under 7 years. Steady, confident walkers will love exploring all that the busy village has to offer, while parents with young babies can access the immersive sensory room, full of lights, textures and sounds to delight the youngest of little monsters. Busy Little Monsters’ role play stations have been designed to appeal to children aged approximately 1 year and upwards. From babies to the end of Key Stage 1 (infant school), children will be inspired to play creatively and imaginatively, developing fine motor skills and problem-solving, while being encouraged to talk about their learning along the way. Our soft-play features allow children to explore their adventurous side, encouraging balance, strength and coordination while also learning the importance of turn-taking.
Parents can enjoy a hot drink and cake (subject to availability) from our micro-café while their children explore.

Little Music Monsters
Our popular music and sensory classes have followed us to our new venue! These fantastic teacher-led classes have been running for over 8 years and continue to delight the babies and toddlers of Buxton.

What’s on for Older Monsters?
As well as after-school and weekend play sessions for children up to 7 years, we also offer a variety of Craft Parties for children aged 5 to 11 years. Craft parties take place after school and children make a high-quality personalised item to bring home. Please see our booking page for themes and availability.
All children must be supervised by an accompanying adult during craft parties. (Craft parties are not suitable for children under 5)
Birthday Parties (Up to 15 children. Max age 7 years)
Why not spend your birthday with us? Busy Little Monsters would love to host your party for up to 15 children aged 7 years and under. With a Busy Little Monsters birthday party, you are guaranteed exclusive use of the venue for you and your guests. We provide juice, cups, plates, tables and chairs (for consuming your own catering). The birthday child receives a birthday card and a free session voucher. We’ll even create your PDF invitations.
Parties are available on Saturdays and Sundays with a start time of either 11am* or 1.30pm.
(*10.30am for premium parties) Contact us for all party enquiries. Packages start from £150.
(Busy Little Monsters role play village is not suitable for groups larger than 15 children, however, baby siblings under 1 year are not counted in the maximum capacity.)
We do not supply catering. If you need help choosing a catering supplier, we can make recommendations.
How To Find Us
Busy Little Monsters Role Play Village is located at 5 Eagle Parade on Buxton’s historic marketplace. We are in the heart of Buxton with transport links just a few footsteps away.
Parking is available directly outside on Buxton marketplace and nearby at The Slopes. Free roadside parking can be found on nearby side streets, such as Fountain Street and Hardwick Square, a short walk away.
On arrival all visitors must please ring the bell and the door will be released for entry. Kindly ensure the door is firmly closed behind you. Any pushchairs should be stored in our buggy parking area, to the right of the entrance, and shoes must be removed and placed into our shoe storage. Socks must be worn by all adults and children 1 year +.
When leaving the venue, please be aware the exit leads onto the pavement next to the road and car park. There is a door release pad for adults’ use. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
